Helping pilots and aviation organisations build confidence grounded in preparation, not luck.

BVR Performance helps pilots and aviation organisations improve performance by developing the non-technical skills that underpin safe, consistent and professional flying. Learn more about our services and how we support pilots at every stage.
Founded on experience flying F/A-18 Super Hornets with the Royal Australian Air Force and instructing military pilots on the PC-21, BVR Performance brings proven performance principles from high-consequence aviation environments into civilian, commercial and training contexts through non-technical skills coaching and training.
The focus is not on theory, motivation or generic coaching frameworks. It is on practical, repeatable systems that pilots can apply immediately, in the cockpit, throughout their preparation and during debriefs.
Many pilots are taught what to do in the aircraft, but not how to think, prepare and evaluate their performance.
Non-technical skills such as preparation, decision-making, situational awareness and effective debriefing are often assumed to develop naturally with experience. In reality, they rarely do and when they aren’t deliberately trained, pilots can struggle with confidence, consistency and learning efficiency.
This gap is addressed through 1-on-1 aviation performance coaching for individual pilots, as well as flight school performance training designed to improve instructional consistency and learning outcomes.
By providing clear, structured frameworks for preparation, execution and debriefing, pilots are better equipped to manage workload, make sound decisions and extract meaningful learning from every flight, regardless of experience level.

Director & Performance Coach
Storm Fenech is a Royal Australian Air Force fast-jet pilot with experience flying the F/A-18 Super Hornet and instructing military pilots on the PC-21.
His background includes high-performance training and flying in demanding, time-critical environments where preparation, decision-making and execution must be consistent and repeatable. This experience underpins BVR Performance’s practical approach to aviation performance coaching and non-technical skills development.
Storm has coached hundreds of pilots worldwide through 1-on-1 aviation performance coaching, supporting pilots across general aviation, airline, military, helicopter and remotely piloted aircraft operations. He also works closely with instructors, flight schools and organisations through flight school performance presentations and organisational non-technical skills training, helping improve instructional consistency and performance outcomes.
Known for an engaging, direct and down-to-earth coaching style, Storm focuses on giving pilots and organisations tools they can rely on under pressure, not abstract concepts or one-size-fits-all solutions.
Unlike generic performance coaching or high-level frameworks, Storm’s approach is grounded in practical techniques that have been proven in real aviation environments.
His coaching focuses on building clear systems for preparation, decision-making and debriefing – skills that hold up under pressure and translate directly to better performance in the cockpit.
These techniques are delivered through 1-on-1 aviation performance coaching, where sessions are tailored to the individual pilot, and scaled through our non-technical skills training course for flight schools and aviation organisations.
Rather than abstract concepts or motivational theory, pilots leave sessions with specific tools they can apply on their very next flight – improving consistency, confidence and learning efficiency immediately.

BVR Performance works with pilots and organisations across a wide range of aviation sectors, supporting performance improvement at both the individual and organisational level.
This includes individual pilots seeking 1-on-1 coaching, instructors and training organisations engaging in flight school performance presentations, and aviation organisations implementing organisational training solutions to embed non-technical skills across their teams.

All services are designed to integrate seamlessly with existing training systems, improving consistency, professionalism and outcomes without unnecessary complexity.
Whether you’re an individual pilot looking to perform better sooner, or an organisation aiming to lift training standards, BVR Performance can help.
